Vojasa

Vojasa is the new upcoming band of the Hungarian gipsy music scene. Their music is based on traditional Vlach gipsy music, and interpreted in such a way that it touches the urban youth.

Musicians of the group have played for several years in well-known bands such as Romano Drom, Kalyi Jag and Nomada. But the rich voices of the three men makes their sound special, to which the usage of the mandolin, the electric and acoustic guitars, the violin, the percussions and the nowadays less used instrument the aluminium water can adds a very special flavour. Besides their original music, they also perform songs collected from Hungarian, Balkan and Andalusian gipsy cultural traditions with such a force that they remind us of ancient times.
